Final Blogging Challenge!

I've written about a total of 25 posts that all have to do with this blogging thing from school. They were all school based other than like maybe 2 because we had to more write them about ourselves but they were still class based. The amount of comments I received from people on my blog would probably be about 15'ish, I didn't have too many people comment on my stuff because I didn't make it that public. The post with the most comments would be the one when I said something about school that was a little bit negative and some people commented on it telling me that school is good for me in the long-run. I enjoyed writing all the posts that I could write about things that I personally liked not the ones about things i personally wasn't interested in. The one where we picked a whole bunch of pictures to tell a story was probably the most fun though. I did not change blog themes at all throughout this whole challenge. i have 5 widgets. They're a translator, a voki, a music player, a cluster, and a blog action day badge. I think that 5 is a good amount because any more and it might get to be too much.

She thought it was very well organized and written, also it was good that i kept up with it and didn't just ignore it. My Voki thing captured her attention just for the fact of it being a person that moves with your cursor. My music was the thing that stuck out to most people on there because they didn't know where it was coming from and then you'd have to show them. She said I could maybe update it a little more and be a little more appropriate because there are other little kids that go on here.

Teens using their phones!

Teens are using their phones in many different ways. I use mine to call, text, make plans, keep track of things I'm doing in the calendar, take pictures, keep notes of things that I won't be able to remember. Some kids use theirs for the same things and some use them for other things too. The things I listed are the main things! A downfall that a lot of kids do is sexting, or other crap like that. No worries though, I do not do that stuff! :)

Creative Common license

I think people should have a creative common license on blogs because otherwise people are going to be able to steal what you are doing and that's not right. Normally it's just classmates and teachers on my blog but I have gotten people from other places on there and commenting.

We are reading the book Animal Farm in my English class. So the assignment we had today was to find a youtube video that had to do with Animal Farm and embed it into our blog. I picked this video because it's the song that they sang in the beggining of the book. When they would work, win something, or if they were jsut plain old happy they would sing it. Later on in the book though Napoleon takes over (he's one of the pigs) and they are no longer allowed to sing it. Instead they have to sing a different one.

To save energy you could turn off the lights at your house. Somethings that my family and I could do would be play games with a candle burning. You could play talking games, for example 'Would You Rather'. There are quite a few options. You could just catch up as a family cause I know that not a lot of families get time to do that.

If you were to travel to Wisconsin or any of the neighboring states around it the thing you would see is definately cows. Other things you might want to see would be a Packer game. Now, Wisconsin doesn't have the hottest guys but there sure are some! I would have to say when we're at our best would be when the Abercrombie & Fitch models come to the malls for their stores :), just kidding!

I think that teenager, or children can start using real photos of themselves when they're mature enough not to put gross ones on there for people to see and think bad of them. I can't really find anything on the internet to back me up on this topic. That is my opinion though. When I was in about 7th grade is when I started putting pictures of myself on the internet, and none of them have been bad. So that's my evidence..

The biggest encounter that I encounter with learning at school would have to be trying to not fall asleep when the teacher's talking. Another thing is that I am not good at hearing things and remembering what they are. I need more hands on! It would help if I enjoyed what I'm learning about too. Things I like to learn about are computers things until it gets too technical. It's more just like social networking things, or learning about girly things. I guess that's an answer all teenage girls would say though! If i could learn anything that I wanted to right now it would have to be everything about cosmetology. I wanted to be a cosmetologist but decided that I would rather go to real college and then go back to cosmetology school if I still desired it. The things I want to learn when I get out of high school is more stuff to work with people. One of the things I'm possibly considering for a career is being a counselor. Slide.com is totally free for the public, it's good to use it on like facebook, myspace, or any other social networking site. It makes you slide shows that you can customize the way you would like. You could use it as a quick presentation for school, like you wouldn't have to use a power point use go to slide.com. Overall it seems very useful!

Writing the past 2 months!

I think I've grown as a writer by the way I talk sometimes in the writing. I used to have to watch what I said and monitor my stuff. I feel like now that that's not as necessary; it is in someways but not as much. My writing is better, still not great but better. It gets better every year I would have to say. I actaully do like to write because I feel like I have a lot to say! :) I'm pretty good at writing with literary elements when a teacher tells me to. I struggle at times trying to make things all flow together, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I know this sounds funny, but it kind of depends on what kind of day I'm having!

Lately what I've been thinking about most is driving everywhere! I got my license last Tuesday I think it was and I've discovered I love love love driving! Anyways, other things are on my mind like you know little things but they're kinda not very good rated for the blog so I'll refrain and tell you about something else ;). For example Abbi's sitting next to me and she's listening to Ego by: Beyonce, that rbings me to another subject. I HATE PEOPLE WITH BIG EGOS! It's like reall get over yourself already, your no better thant he rest of us. I have a few people in my head but OBLIVIOUSLY I'm not going to point anyone out on here cause you know we wouldn't want to make anyone feel bad now. I hate it also when people only think about themselves and how it will affect them, or don't care about other peoples feelings! A'ughh, these are jsut a couple of my pet peeves!

The kind of goals I have for myself as the end of the semester approaches is to at least have all A's and B's. I think I had a pretty sucessful 1st semester considering last year my grades were not very good and they're improving this year. Second semester I would like to have all A's, but I know that that will not happen! I hope to get good grades at least high B's. My grades need to be good because I don't want to have very high rates for my driver's insurance. Those are my goals, I hope you like :)!

Makenzy Ellis' christmas break!

During my Christmas break I did quite a lot of things! The first couple days I just hung out with my family. On Christmas day my family does a round robin. We only did two houses this year because sometimes it gets to be too much. First off we went to my house where there was A LOT of food and I think I gained about 4575647654 pounds. One of the next nights I was at Abbi's house. Jenna came over too and we all just hung out because we hadn't in a while! That was a lot of my Christmas break :)!

I put these pictures in there because they represent happiness. Happiness is in the 'Sun Parlor' when the little boy first makes the parlor. He is really happy about i adn doesn't want Sis going in there. Pretty much the only reason that he doesn't want her int here is becuase he thinks that she us going to mess something up. I know the feeling about not wanting somebody who's younger handling your stuff. If i ahd a kid though, I would try to remember the saying from the sun parlor then.

Digger Wasps.

I would rather learn about Digger Wasps basically for the simple reason of I HATE SPIDERS! I would never want to willingly learn about spiders or snakes for that matter. One of the things that I think are cool about these wasps though is that they dig themselves holes! Just think you could be walking and all the sudden a wasp would pop up out of the groud and sting your foot! That would be horrible. That's basically the only thing that I think is interesting about them.

Erik Weihenmayer is an inspiration too because he was blind and climbed the mountain i mean come on how could you not think he was an inspiration. If i were blind i probably would just sit around feeling sorry for myself while my friends went and climbed it. I'm happy he got the chance to do it though! Although i would have to say i probably wouldn't exactly want to climb Mount Everest, i would rather track down the biggest mall in the world! I have to remind you that it would be hard shopping in there while your blind too :). Any lady that did that would be my ALL-TIME HERO!

When you have a positive footprint, it means that you have good things on your technical background, or like your background on the internet. Once you get to like your junior year in college I think that you should start using your own picture and your own information about that time. The person responsible for showing you how to be internet savvy are you parents, the teachers that has the class you go in the internet in, and you could also show yourself. When you register at a website you normally give your e-mail, first and last name, your gender, and your age. Sometimes other things.

My digital footprint is more good than bad but sometimes I have said and posted bad things on the internet which could make it not as good as it could be.

Bahama Tripppp'n!

I booked a flight with Expedia to go to the Bahamas from November 1st all the way to November 26th becuase that's the maximum time they would let me stay there. My flight leaves from Milwaukee at 8 a.m. on Nov. 1st. I will be returning at noon on Nov. 26th. The hotel i'm going to be staying at during this time is the Radisson Cable Beach Golf Resort. I was going to go on a trip wtih my friend Abbi but then I decided to go to the Bahamas instead casue i always wanted to! For my hotel it will be costing around $2500, plus everything else! When I get back I'll be needing a job!

My favorite holiday would have to be a tie between 4th of July and Christmas. The 4th is one of them because I love the traditions that my family does on those days! We all go up north and do stuff around the lake. The things we do would take forever to explain. Now Christmas also because i like the traditions, and the presents of course! We normally do a round robin with my aunts and uncles and my mom;'s whole side of the family if I'm at my mom's for Christmas that year. The night before that we got to my other Grama's house which is my step-dad's side if the family. When ig ot o my dad's for Christmas it's not really a tradition, we do something new every year it seems like. Last time we stayed at a hotel in Madison because my grandparents live there and they were having something going on at there house that day. WAIT, I just thought of another holiday i love love love love! That's New Year's Eve, it's always so fun ;)! So that would have to be my 3 most favorite holidays!

Climate Change is what's happening all over the world now. It affects me because when i need resources they're not there, along with everybody else in the world. We also have been warned about all of this and whther people are trying or not it's nto helpling because it's still an issue! Otherwise it doesn't really affect me but it sure will start if nothings done! In school the teachers could teach us about it and teach us little tips to do so that we're not wasting so much energy. Right now i don't think it's affecting us horribly but it will. I know it's affecting other countries, sad to say it but i'm not quite sure which ones to be exact. The big effect of climate change is an increase in temperature and sometimes stormy weather.

As part of the student blogging challenge, I wrote a post for BAD 2009 on the topic of climate change.

One of my biggest interests is my friends. I love hanging out with them, I can't always hang out with them cause I have quite a busy life :/. When i hang out with Abbi we normally do random things, and going out to eat with our bff's :D! Now with Karissa it's different, we like to crash four wheelers, and sometimes pee our pants! Just kidding, you should never under estimate us! Another time i was riding the four wheeler with Justin (Karissa's brother), and I thought that he was gonna crash us when we were going around the corner so I jumped off and landed in a pine tree! Anyways, when i'm with Charissa I like to do jsut everything preferably looking at funny videos on youtube. I have tons of friends and i can't possibly name all the things I like to do with them. well i'm pretty excited for my game tonight, even though we're totally gonna lose! i swear to god lux.casco may take steroids or something!! ANYWAYS, i'm excited for the powder puff games tmrw but i wish that a certain somebody was playing >:(. Tmrw i have to work which i'm pissed about but i'm going to the game right after work, then maybe some other places w/ my shot partner over here :)! Soooo, i was pretty pumped yesterday when jace and i did the pudding eating thinger even tho of course the seniors won. i love'd 80's day, plus today kinda if my seatshirt wasn't a dull orange. I'm even more pumped about the dance tho, i have a volleyball tournament first though so i hope we get back at like 4, that'd be perfectttt! WELL I GOTTA GO, I'LL HIT YOUUUUUUUUU UP LATER!!!!!!!!!!

longgggggggggggggg bus rides bore' me 2 death!

Last night we had a game in marinette and it was a superrrrrrr long bus ride! then we got there and played and completely killed them, like it was not worth the bus ride at all, but i kinda sucked it up really bad :/. The ride back wasn't as bad though, i wish we could'a stopped at taco bell <3! I love taco bell a lot! Back to the point tho! I was very sore on tha bus, but butt hurt SOOO badly! So i discovered a new way to sit. You slump down in your seat and sit pretzel legged on the back of the seat in front of you! It's actually pretty comfortable, so yup i suggest you try it next time your butt hurts on the bus. Anyways! I know this is kinda stupid to write about but i'm not gonna write personal stuff on here cause everybody can read it, SORRY NOSY PEOPLE :)!

I think english 10 will help me get better with using the computer and uhhh maybe widen my vocabulary so that i take lit. and comp. next year MAYBE! It seems diff. from other english classes i've had in the past because we haven't used to computers this much before, and i like it better than other english classes so far. Personally i like the blogging stuff, it's pretty cool!

An F in Spanish!

Well i'm gonna be getting my license soon and my mom said that i have to get better grades so my insurance isn't sky rocketing! So i was determined t get good grades, like straight B's or something, and i already have an F! Actually it was because i forgot my book yesterday but it was because i was trying to get away from my locker all fast because i swear there's stalkers after me in this school :) lol! All i have to say is i better get a better grade this semester!
